The UnSlut Guide to the Classics

As you know, I started The UnSlut Project by blogging my own middle school diaries using Wattpad. Over the past year, I've continued to use the online story-sharing site as a platform to spread the word and connect with followers. Wattpad makes stories like mine available to readers, and it's also home to some of my favorite works of classic literature (as a former English major, I'm kind of a nerd about that type of thing)!

Now, I'm taking advantage of the Wattpad app's new inline commenting tool to bring a new perspective to the classics. Basically, I can comment on specific passages in the text, and when other readers get to that point, they can read the comments and respond. It's like a virtual book club, with no obligation (and, unfortunately, no white wine). Beginning with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, I'll be reading these works with a feminist eye, encouraging critical - and fun! - discussions. I hope you'll join me!

If you already have the Wattpad app, you can jump right in and read along with me. I've been reading about a chapter a day and I'm up to Chapter 12. If you pass me, leave your own inline comments and I'll respond to them when I get there! If you're not on Wattpad yet, you should be - it's free! Once you're done reading my diary, get on board with the UnSlut Guide to the Classics. Check it out.
